Hi All,
First of all, Happy New Year!I have found this article which I think might be interesting.
Hidden costs of cheap travel(08 January 2008)
Passengers of low-cost airlines are paying more than the price advertised, according to a survey by consumer group Which?.
Hidden costs, including extra fees for checking-in luggage or priority boarding, are reported to be adding up to £32 to ticket prices.
The Office of Fair Trading demands that airlines include taxes and other mandatory charges in all headline prices.
Which? reports that budget airlines have been charging for services that were previously included in the ticket price.
Ryanair was found to charge the highest extra cost, requiring £4 for desk check-in and £20 for checking a bag into the hold. The airline maintains that the charges are discretionary and avoidable.
The survey concluded that all extra fees, including credit card charges, could reach £32 with Ryanair, just under £30 for easyJet and just under £25 for BMIbaby.
